You have a date.
You’re really drunk.
You can’t see each other.
What are you going to say?
But now you’re in a bar with your friend.
You tell them about your disability.
Your friend says, “What are you talking about?
This is great.
We’re so glad to have you.”
But then you tell them, “I’m really, really drunk.”
They say, “It’s OK, we can just go on our merry way.”
And they’re not quite sure what to do.
Is it better to stay quiet and just wait for your date to come around?
Or do you have to tell them something?
Is there a right way and a wrong way to tell someone you have a disability?
How should you handle the awkwardness?
